a client approached me asking about a series of overhead lights he had seen and wanted to know if i could replicate them for his kitchen. at the time i was working with some extremely talented metalworkers who guided my through sheet metal forming and brass tig welding to create these pieces.
brass is one of my prefered materials to work with due the ease in which you can manipulate it. due to the thin nature of the sheet stock it prooved a challenge to master the welding on these pieces and i had to scrap more than one in my efforts, but it was worth it to understand the prinicples of tig welding brass. it opened up a whole world of other projects i could now turn my hand to.
